Earth Day Weekend in Rincon, Puerto Rico

Its Earth Day Weekend and what a way to celebrate in Rincon! Veg Fest 2018 at El Farro Lighthouse was a huge success with most of the Vendors selling out their products quickly. Just goes to show how strong the Vegan/Vegetarian movement has come!

This weekend is La Primavera Pro-Longboard Surfing Competition & Earth Day Festival! April 21 & 22 from 7 AM - 5 PM at Playa Domes Beach in Rincon.

This is a professionally run, competitive surfing event held in Rincón, Puerto Rico, focusing on the timeless tradition of classic, single fin longboarding. The winning (pro) finalists will win a total prize purse of $5,000.00 USD ($2,500.00 to men and women equally, with a first prize of $1,500.00).

There is also an additional day to make a two day event over Earth Day weekend, and three amatuer divisions: Open Men’s Longboard, Open Women’s Longboard, and Open Shortboard 7’ under. In addition to the surf series, there will be an Event about conscious preservation of precious natural resources, while bringing communities together with good food, healthy beverages and family friendly activities, including a “Plant Your Own” garden and seed station, facepainting, yoga, slacklining demos, tie dye booth, pony rides, giant bubble maker, environmental awareness tent, live music and more!
